
Mangaluru: Srikar Prabhu has decided to conclude his public campaign with a bang. The independent candidate for assembly elections from Mangaluru South will hold a massive convention at Nehru Maidan, on Thursday, May 10 at 4:00 PM.
Addressing a press meet at his election campaign office on May 7, Srikar Prabhu informed that nearly 10000 supporters including 2000 women supporters will take part in this convention. “As there was a demand from my well-wishers and supporters to hold a public campaign, I have organised this convention,” he said.
“This is the first time in the history an independent candidate for MLA seat is holding a public campaign”, he claimed.
Reiterating his confidence about the people’s support for his social service, Prabhu added, “The two national parties – BJP and Congress – are fearing a defeat.”
Detailing the progress of his election campaign, Prabhu said, “In the door-to-door campaign, the party workers have reached out to almost 80 percent of the houses in the constituency. In a couple of days, the door-to-door campaign will reach all the houses in the constituency.” The public convention is the last campaign of Srikar Prabhu’s 10-phase election campaign.
President of Srikar Prabhu Abhimani Balaga K P Shetty Bedemar, party workers Avinash Shetty, Mahesh Bhat, Ashwath, Suresh Shetty and others were present during press meet.
