Mangaluru: The Yuva brigade, Mangalore chapter, will organize a programme,’Sandeep in my heart’  which will be themed on the lines of  ‘Remembering Sandeep- The life story of an Indian brave heart’ to remember gallant hero Sandeep Unnikrishnan, on April 25 at T V Raman Pai hall.

Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s parents Unnikrishnan and Dhanalaxmi Unnikrishnan will be taking part as guests of honour.

As a part of the programme, Yuva Brigade Mentor, Chakravarthy Soolibele will deliver an inspirational speech on the occasion and recall the life of Sandeep, who laid down his life for the sake of this nation.

Sandeep Unnikrishnan was an officer in the Indian Army, serving the Special Action Group of the National Security Guards. He was killed in action during the November 2008 Mumbai attack. He was consequently awarded the Ashoka Chakra, the highest peace time gallantry award in 2009.
