Kasargod: A married couple allegedly committed suicide in their house at Balavantadka near Pandi, Delampady on Monday July 28.

The deceased have been identified as 58-year-old Narayana Naik and 53-year-old Geeta.

The motive behind their death is not yet known, however police suspected that they might have committed suicide as they found a bottle of poison in the room.

The couple is survived by a son and three daughters – Ramesh, Pushpa, Anita and Ramya.

Adoor SI Satish Kumar arrived at the spot and conducted investigations. The bodies were shifted to Kasargod general hospital for post-mortem.
