Mangaluru: ‘March-22’, film produced by Dubai-based entrepreneur Harish Sherigar and his wife Sharmila Sherigar under the banner of ACME Movies International released on August 25 to an overwhelming response.

The movie has been running successfully and the audience have received the message encapsulated in the film quite well.

Need to value water, communal harmony and peaceful co-existence are some the messages that the film tries to convey and the seasoned hands of director and writer Kodlu Ramakrishna does that convincingly.

However the highlight of the film largely remains to be the start cast. Ananth Nag and Ashish Vidhyarthi are the two pillars of the film and their sheer presence adds to the glory of the movie.

Set in Northern Karnataka, Rayadurga is a hamlet where people have been living in harmony. However, water scarcity in the village and the changing dynamics lays a perfect plot for the film, unfurling the efforts of protagonists Salman and Rahul in solving the crisis. But to bring back harmony, they must fight the power hungry people making use of the situation for their benefit.

‘March 22’ is a technically rich film. There are five songs in the film. It is certainly a delight to listen to soulful voices of S P Balasubramanyam and Kailash Kher while music has been rendered by Ravishekar Rajagaga and Manikanth Kadri.

Senior actors like Vinayaprasad, Geetha, Sharath Lohithaksha, Sadhu Kokila, Jai Jagadish, Ravi Khale, Padmaja Rao, Ramesh Bhat, Shrinivas Murthy, Ravindranatha, Kishore, Shrijan Rai, Shantha Acharya, Chidananda Poojary, Suvarna Sathish, Prashobitha and others have acted in this movie.

Aryavardhan and Kiranraj are the male leads while Meghashree and Deepthi shetty have played the female leads.

During the month of September the film will be screened in Mumbai and Gulf.
