Mangaluru: A woman who had been stung by wasps two days ago succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Meenakshi. She is a daily wager.

Meenakshi was on a road collecting dry wooden sticks when the incident happened. She reportedly got stung by a swarm of wasps in the wood she collected.

She was rushed to a private hospital in Deralakatte. However, she died, after she stopped responding to the treatment.

Bantwal Rural Police have registered a case.
