Moodubidri: Mangaluru V V emerged champions for the year 2014-15 in the Akhila Bharath women’s ball badminton Championship which concluded at Crescent  V V in Chennai.

In the quarter finals, Mangaluru V V beat Calicut University and entered the leaugue round for the eleven consecutive year. At the league level, it beat Chennai V V in 29-19, 29-19 sets, Crescent V V in 29-12, 29-18 and in the final round they beat Chennai SRM university with 29-10, 29-15 and became the champions for the year 2014-15.

Shruthi A R won best player of the series award. In the Mangaluru university team there were 8 representatives from Alva’s college and 2 from the Mangaluru campus.
