Mangaluru: Two drivers were killed in a tragic accident between trucks on the slopes near Gurupura Kaikamba on the outskirts of the City.
The accident occurred on the slopes between a huge lorry carrying mud from Moodabidri end and a lorry going from Gurupura side, which resulted in two vehicles being completely crushed and falling into roadside ditch. It took a lot of effort to get the driver out of the vehicle.
One of them was taken out, but died while being taken to the hospital and the operation is underway to retrieve another body.
The number of accidents has increased at the spot as the road experiences heavy traffic and the public at the spot demanded that the vehicles should be allowed only at night on the wide narrow road.
