Ullal: A young woman who was wailing on the roadside for help failed to melt the hearts of the passersby who feared legal procedures.

Finally, it was Mangaluru Taluk Panchayat President Mohommed Monu Malar who rescued the lady.

He took her in his government vehicle and dropped her home, upholding humanity.

It is said that the lady was not even in a position to stand on her own feet. Despite her pathetic state most passers by opted only to watch her wail and cry for help. None came forward to lend her a helping hand. Mohommed Monu Malar, who was on his way to Mangaluru stopped and tried eking out details from the lady about her family and home. When he realised that she was too weak and feeble to even answer his queries he brought her some water and fed her.

Then, with the help of Konaje police, the TP President made sure that the lady reached her home in Asaigoli safely.
