Mangaluru to get court information kiosks at Dist.Court premises

Mangaluru: Technology is slowly but surely coming Mangaloreans way.  Principal District and Sessions Judge Uma  M. G has said two touch screen information kiosks will be provided at the District Court premises for the benefit of Litigants. The Kiosk will provide to litigants information on the status of the case.

Advocates and litigants can see the complete details of the case including the next date of hearing on the kiosk. The orders are available on the district court portal link of the Karnataka High Court (karnatakajudiciary.kar.nic) . Orders of nine courts from Bantwal, Puttur, Sullia,  and Belthangady are already available on the district court portal link.  Udupi court decisions are already available online.

All the  160 court staff, except the attainders have been trained to use the software for uploading information for the last one month

The networking of the computers is likely to be completed soon and the service is likely to be launched in early January.
