Mangaluru: The group, ‘Seeds of Hope’ consists of nine young students, and they are bringing smiles on the faces of Cancer patients by donating hair.
The team is led by Aadhya Sulochana Muliya, a teenager. When Aadhya was studying in school she saw her teacher, who was suffering from cancer and having lost her hair due to Chemotheropy. Also she witnessed how she would come to school with her head covered in a scarf. This made Aadhya emotional and inspired her to donate her hair for Cancer patients.

Soon she began to grow her hair so that in future she could donate it. During pandemic Aadhya donated 10 to 12 inches of her hair for Cancer patients. Later, Aadhya set up a team of nine students called ‘Seeds of Hope’ and continued the kind gesture of donating her hair for Cancer patients through it. By now 12 Cancer patients have been provided Indian wigs of best possible quality from over 280 hair donors which are crafted by experienced craftsmen from Tamil Nadu.
Recognising the service of these young girts Primary and Secondary Education Minister B. C. Nagesh felicitated them on the occasion of workshop on New Education Policy at Shakti Pre-University College here in the City on Saturday July 2.
