Mangaluru: The fire broke out in the rubber plantation of Agari Chacko of Mundaje Village.

On the afternoon of Monday March 20, a fire broke out in the straw in the rubber plantation and rapidly spread to a 2-acre rubber plantation.

Locals Ramanna Shetty, Sachin Bhide, Jagadish Naik, Ganesh Bangera, Bharat Shetty and others managed to bring the fire under control.

The fire broke out in a rubber plantation that had about 300 rubber plants. However, major damage to rubber plants has been recorded.
