Mangaluru records lowest min temp at 20.7 °C

Mangaluru: It was a cold november Friday the 28th. Mangaluru city recorded the sixth lowest temperature in the decade. The minimum temperature in the city dropped to 20.7 degree celsius.

This is almost two degree celsius less than the minimum average recorded for the month of November.

The all-time lowest temperature recorded for Mangalore was 16.6 °C on November 19, 1974. The mean minimum for November from 1961, according to IMD has been 22.6 °C.

The lowest recorded in this decade was 17.5 °C on November 25, 2007, followed by 20 °C on November 20, 2004 and 20.3 Deg C on November 28 in 2003.

But the Maximum temperature was way above comfort level at 35.8 °C, four °C high than the normal average for this month.

The maximum temperatures have been way off the average since November 12th,  and have been hovering above the normal maximum making it uncomfortable during the day, especially after 10am to 4 pm.
