Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, a bus driver drowned at Someshwara beach on Sunday December 12.

The deceased has been identified as Ambika Road resident Prashanth Bekal (47). According to sources, he was working as a bus driver in a private educational institution.

As per the reports, Prashanth was swept up by huge waves while entering the beach to take a bath. His son Chirayu’s attempt to rescue Prashanth was unsuccessful.

A case has been registered in this regard.
