Mangaluru: The Lokayukta Officers raided the Zilla Panchayat Office here on Monday February 20, and trapped a Government official accepting a bribe.

The person who was caught taking bribe during the raid has been identified as Panchayat Technical Assistant Engineer Roopa. She had allegedly demanded a bribe from a contractor to pass a bill. She was caught accepting Rs. 8,000.

The raid was led by Lokayukta Superintendent of Police Simon and Deputy SP Cheluvaraju.
