Mangaluru: The Customs officials at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) in the city confiscated 602.2 gm of gold worth Rs. 31,31, 440 on Friday July 1.

A male passenger, a resident of Kasaragod, who arrived from Dubai was caught by the Customs officials.

The gold was concealed in yellowish-brown coloured paste-type material in the packet of milk powder inside the brown carton box carried as checked-in baggage, informed officials.
