Mangaluru: The accused who had harassed a girl in the city in broad daylight has been arrested here on June 30.

The accused Rizwan(29) from Jeppu was arrested here on Friday.

Rashmi Shetty, a 22-year-old woman from Mangaluru pursuing MA in Buddhist Studies, Philosophy and Comparative Religions in Bihar, had posted on Facebook about alleged harassment by a youth in broad daylight in the central area of the city.

Two days after she posted online, the Mangaluru City Police filed a Suo Moto complaint in this regard and nabbed the accused.
