Mangaluru: Minister for Energy, Kannada and Culture V. Sunil Kumar on Sunday July 24 laid the foundation stone for the construction of Sree Narayana Guru circle at Lady Hill in the City.

Kumar urged people to uphold the principles of social reformer Sree Narayana Guru to promote harmony and peace in society.

He said that Kannada and the Culture Department will be hosting several programmes, including a Rath yatra, as part of the celebrations of “Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav” to reach out to the people. 

MLAs D. Vedavyasa Kamath, Bharath Y. Shetty, and Mayor Premanand Shetty were present at the event.
