Mangaluru: The winter days are over and the heat of summer is on the rise. There will be a further rise in the maximum temperature in the coming days. The Meteorological Department is of the view that there is every possibility of summer rains from mid-March onwards.
Though not a rainy season, the State received 7 mm of rainfall in February as usual. The rain has to move up by now. But this time it has not rained that much so far.
The impact of the sun will increase further from the end of February or the first week of March. There is a possibility of 3 to 4 Degree Celsius rise in temperature above normal in the Coastal areas, which is infact a reason for the prediction of rains.
