Mangaluru: Congress leader J.R. Lobo has been confirmed the ticket from Mangaluru South constituency and only an official announcement is yet to be made. R Padmaraj, a young Billava leader and advocate from Mangaluru South, and Ivan D’Souza were in the fray for the ticket. Ivan and Padmaraj had travelled to Delhi and lobbied for tickets. But in the last phase, J.R. Lobo is lucky. It may also be noted that the high command and senior leaders had instructed Lobo 15 days ago to get involved in the campaign.
