Mangaluru: Angered by Krishnappa’s selection, activists from Sullia and Nandakumar’s supporters have launched a ‘Mangaluru Chalo’ campaign demanding a change in the candidate.

Thousands of activists from Sullia and Kadaba reached Mangaluru to put pressure on the District leaders and gathered at the District Congress Office on the afternoon of Wednesday March 29. Before leaving for Mangaluru, hundreds of activists gathered at the Sullia Block Congress Office and submitted a memorandum to Block Congress president P. C. Jayaram. Similarly in Kadaba, activists submitted a memorandum to the Kadaba Block President and left for Mangaluru.

The District Congress and High Command have fielded another candidate without giving ticket to winning candidate Nandakumar, they said.
