Mangaluru compol bars Siddaramaiah from entering city

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru City Commissioner of Police Dr P S Harsha has barred former chief minister Siddaramaiah from entering the city. Siddaramaiah has been banned from visiting the city till December 22.

In his notice to Siddaramaiah, who is also the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly, the compol said that his entry into the city may lead to a deterioration of the law and order situation.

The notice was issued to the former CM as he had plans to visit the city on Saturday. He now plans to visit Mangaluru on Sunday.

When this was brought to CM B S Yediyurappa’s notice, he said that the will look into the matter.

It can be recalled that Siddaramaiah was stopped from visiting the city on Friday, December 20, when his charter flight was cancelled.
