Mangaluru: A family was fortunate enough to escape after the car they were traveling caught fire in Vittal here in the Dakshina Kannada District.

The mishap was averted as the driver of the car noticed the fire. He helped the passengers get out of the car.

Also Fire and Emergency Services were summoned, who helped douse the fire. But car was completely damaged.
