Mangaluru: A complaint has been lodged with the Election Commission by the SDPI against Ullal MLA U. T. Khader for campaigning at religious places.

Pictures of MLA U. T. Khader speaking at Madani Nagar, Ullal Kodi Thottam Mosque and Madrasas have gone viral on social media.

“This is a violation of the model Code of Conduct and it is not appropriate to campaign in religious places and the Commission should take immediate action against the MLA,” SDPI stated. The complaint was registered online.

Based on the complaint, the officials who went to the Madrasa and mosque to conduct an inspection. They also said that if there is any video recording of the same, a case will be registered immediately.
