Mangaluru: Former Deputy Chief Minister Eshwarappa said that the people of Belthangady have realised that only the BJP can protect the Country’s culture and thus expressed confidence that the Party will get an absolute majority in the State this time.
He held a press conference at Dharmasthala Sannidhi Guest House on Sunday March 12, while he was here to participate in the BJP’s Vijay Sankalpa Yatra in Belthangady. “The yatra has already taken place at Male Mahadeshwara Hill, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Kodagu, Sullia and Puttur and has entered Belthangady. Everywhere we have received a response beyond our expectations. Due to the strength of the organisation, the response of the people is in favour of the party. He said the yatra has proved that people have realised that the Country can be protected by the BJP,” he said.
“No one wants to join the dead Congress party. The BJP has already won in the North-Eastern State elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance has been appreciated by all,” he said and added that the double-engine Government will continue in the State.
He said, “D. K. Shivakumar is out of bail. No matter who does corruption, the party does not justify it. The law will do its job. Politics is as sacred as the Ganga,” he assertey. He made it clear that the BJP’s stand was that it should be clean.
When asked about contesting the Assembly elections, he said he would abide by the Party’s decision. The Congress is now like an empty box. It is true that the people of the State have not given a majority to the BJP so far. But in the interest of the Country and the State, this time the people should give full majority to the Party,” he said.
