Mangaluru: The Bantwal mandal BJP staged a protest near the flyover on B.C. Road in the presence of MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippadi on Monday June 5.
Speaking on the occasion, Former KEONICS president and BJP District Vice-president Harikrishna Bantwal said that the Congress has come to power through its guaranteed declaration, which is detrimental to the interest of the state. He also feared that within a year, the Congress party would also go bankrupt, leading the state to a Pakistan- Venezuela model of economic bankruptcy.
State BJP spokesperson Vikas Puttur said, “On the one hand, it is saying that the five guarantees are not fit for implementation, electricity is free and on the other hand, it is increasing the rates. He said that conditions are now being applied to the allowances of the unemployed and the government is changing colour like a chameleon.
BJP district general secretary Ramdas Bantwal said that the Congress party had come to power in the state by announcing a guarantee and the conditions were being imposed today contrary to what was said then. It is misleading the people by hiding the promises it made,” he said.
