Mangaluru: In a miraculous incident, the driver of the car had a chance escape after aluminium strips, which were being transported in a pick-up vehicle, slipped and pierced into the car at Nanthoor Junction on the evening of Wednesday February 22.
There was a pick-up behind the car carrying aluminium strips. Both the vehicles were moving from KPT towards pumpwell. When the driver applied the brakes at Nanthoor Junction, the strips in the pick-up entered from the back of the car. There was only one driver in the car. The strips pass through the rear seats and ended touching against the driver’s seat. The car was damaged.
A case has been registered at Traffic East Police Station for negligence on the part of the driver of the pick-up vehicle.
