Mangaluru: Night owls in Mangalore now have something more to look forward to as the state’s chief minister recently announced that business establishments and shops will now stay up as late as 1 am.
The change, which the CM brought about in his recent budget applies not just to Mangalore but ten other cities in the state too.
Bellary, Belagavi, Davangere, Hubli, Kalaburagi, Tumkuru, Shimoga and Vijaypura will now be seeing this new change besides Bangalore and Mangalore, two of the state’s biggest cities.
This means citizens can now step out of home in the middle of night to meet their needs. In addition to that, businesses can also see more profit as they carry out their commercial activities in the more happening hours of the night.
The presence of shops and industries will not only make these cities more happening but safer too, as there will now be more people on the streets.
Hungry hostelites can now make a visit to eateries when done with their work late at night and businesses can stay up to meet their numbers.
Overall, the scheme surely seems to benefit businesses and individuals too, and has come out as a welcome introduction in the Karnataka budget.
