Mangalore, Mar 20: A dead body of a teenage girl was found hanging in a tree near the woods at Kadri Park here on Tuesday March 19.

The deceased has been identified as eighteen-year-old Prameela, a native of Puttur.

A passerby informed the police, when he saw the dead body of a girl hanging in a tree located in woods of forest department near Kadri Park on Tuesday March 19 afternoon.   

The police sources informed that although it looked a suicide that might have been committed over 2 days ago.  The injuries on her forehead and upper arms raise doubts over the real motive.

It is learned that Parameela was hailing from a poor family who completed II PUC in Kaniyoor Government College and was working in a private firm by staying in a women’s hostel in city.

The policemen found her mobile phone that has helped to contact her parents.  The police are carrying out investigations based on info in her mobile phone.
