Mangalore  :  A clash between under trials has been reported from the district  prison  at Mangalore on April  18, Thursday. Following the clash, police have  shifted one section of under trials to another block.

 As per reports, the clash was between two faction of under trials belonging to Chota Shakeel and Vicky Shetty gang. The prisoners belonging to the Vicky Shetty gang has been shifted to B block following the clash.

It may be recalled here that there has been frequent clashes between under trials  in the prison since the past few months despite measures to prevent the same. The presence of several men belonging to the underworld is said to be the reason  for the frequent clashes.
