Mangaluru: A grocery store owner was run over by a speeding train near Thokottu on Thursday morning, October 20.

The deceased has been identified as Sanjeev K T (66). The owner of Shivaganesh general stores in Thokottu town was caught unawares and lost his life in a flash.

The store owned by Sanjeeva is adjacent to SCDCC Bank Thokottu branch and Raksha clinic in the town.

Police arrived at the spot immediately and investigation is in progress.
