Kasaragod: He had neither robbed nor killed someone. Neither did he peddle drugs nor did he smuggle sanders. The crime that 44-year-old Sathish committed was that he obstructed the vehicle of Kerala State Revenue Minister E Chandrashekar and refused to give way!

It is said that when the vehicle of the minister was passing from Kasaragod to Manjeshwar, Sathish did not give way and kept obstructing the vehicle by plying ahead of the Minister’s vehicle on his bike. The police claim that Sathish remained adamant despite several attempts by the Minister’s driver who kept honking at Sathish asking him to remain off road. Soon, Minister’s gunman intimated Highway police. Even when the highway police tried to stop Sathish, he did not stop. The police, who noted down the number of Sathish’s bike, later arrested him and slammed cases pertaining to reckless and careless driving. He was released on bail.
