Mangalore: A man who used to work on the boats, near the docks was found dead at Bunder Old Port here on Tuesday morning, December 3.

According to the injuries the death is speculated to be a murder.

The deceased has been identified as Haneef (45), a resident of Kotepura at Ullal.

The body was found in a pool of blood outside a shop named Shree Devi Marine Agencies, which is located opposite to the area between the jetty and Kasaba Bengre where boats are docked.

The initial reports state that Haneef had head injuries thus the police has contemplated it to be a murder but they are still investigating the case.

According to the locals Haneef used to work near the dock thus often ramble around in the area.

Pandeshwar police arrived at the spot and have registered a case. Investigation is still on as details are awaited.
