Mangaluru: In an incident reported in Bantwal of the Dakshina Kannada District, a man resorted to suicide by jumping into canal from Panemangaluru Bridge on Saturday January 29.

The deceased was a resident of Sajipamunnur, Bantwal, and has been identified as Devappa Madiwal. Sources said that he was member of the management committee of the Sri Subrahmanya Temple, Mugulya.

The reason behind the incident is yet to be found. The investigation is on.
