Mangaluru: A woman was allegedly attacked with acid by her brother-in-law in an incident that took place at Kadaba, Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, January 24.

The accused has been identified as Jayananda Kottary and has been taken into police custody. A case has also been registered against him at the Kadaba police station.

The victim sustained severe injuries to her face while her 3-year-old daughter was also hurt in the incident.

According to ANI, the acid attack was purportedly carried out over a financial dispute.
