Bannur: A man was arrested by Puttur police on charges of assaulting and harassing his wife for dowry on Tuesday, August 9.

Raviraj Hegde (27) from Bannur Jainaraguri is the arrested.

Raviraj used to harass his wife Reshma from last five years. A complaint was registered with the Puttur Town police alleging that Raviraj had assualted his wife on her birthday on August 8. Following complaint, police arrested the accused.
