Mangaluru: Puttur Town Police have arrested a man after 39 years who was wanted in an assault case.

Arrested accused is C H Abdul Khader, resident of Mudnnooru.

It is learnt that CH Khader along with 13 others had assaulted Abdul Kunhi in 1979. After the incident he had fled to Bahrain.

After returning to India in 2010, he resided at Bandichaladalli, Kavu Village in Puttur, from where he was arrested by the local police after 39 years of the crime.
