Mangaluru: The ‘Kalasha’ at Mahaveer circle, Pumpwell, which was enhancing the beauty of Mangaluru has been removed and moved to another place on Monday, March 21.

The flyover work is the reason for the removal.
The ‘Kalasha’ which was at the Mahaveer Circle for a decade was a landmark and commuters coming into the city could see it. With the removal of the ‘Kalasha’, Mahveer Circle has become a thing of the past.
The ‘Kalasha’ originally weighing 22 tons, was not removed from the base. It was weighing 20 tons.
NHAI engineer K M Hegde, Former CREDAI president Pushparaj, Bajrang Dal leader Sharan Pumpwell and others were present.
