Kasaragod: The Sessions court rejected the bail petition of the accused in madrasa teacher Riyaz Moulvi’s murder case.
The court rejected the bail petition filed on behalf of the accused Ajesh (20), Nitin (19), residents of Kelugudde Ayyappanagar and Akhilesh (25) of Kelugudde Gangai Road.
Special prosecutor Ashokan raised objection to the court granting bail to the ?accused. The court which deferred hearing on previous two occasions finally rejected the bail petition on July 1.
It may be recalled, Riyaz, a madrasa teacher was found murdered here at Halechoori in Battampare in the outskirts of the city on March 21 early morning. The dead body of the deceased, Riyaz (34), a native of Madikeri was found in a pool of blood with his throat slit in the apartment provided to him by the mosque.
The prosecution has filed more than thousand pages document indicting the trio in the court.
