Mangaluru: Residents of the Dakshina Kannada district who are interested in joining the police will be able to attend a month-long workshop hosted by the City Police force.

Despite the fact that the City Commissionerate is more than ten years old, not even ten per cent of its employees is drawn from the Dakshina Kannada district, according to Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar.

“We decided to host a 30-day crash course for 100 candidates, with professionals from the department serving as trainees,” Kumar explained.

The training will begin on Monday and those who are interested should bring a physical test certificate given to them during previous attempts during a sub-inspector or police constable recruiting drive.
