Mangalore : There was a traffic jam for a few hours on the BC Road after a car hit a lorry from behind. The lorry was travelling from BC Road to Mangalore. The lorry was trying to avoid a open sewage pit and had slammed the brake when the car hit from behind. The lorry driver then alighted from his vehicle and assaulted the car driver. Public gathered at the spot and the Bantwal police intervened to restore order. The two drivers were taken away for further investigation.  However the disturbance caused a huge traffic jam for some time.
