Moodbidri: Ravi Moolya representing Accharakatte locals urged revenue officers to allot land for a graveyard as in Padumarnadu and Moodumarnadu village there are no burial grounds even after submitting several petitions.
In the meeting held at Padumarnadu gram panchayath with revenue officers, the demand for graveyard was put forward.

The process of allotment of land for a graveyard was delayed as the land comes under deemed forest area. Now the government has ordered to free the land from deemed forest area and those who have houses built in the land reserved for the graveyard will not be affected. The non residential land can be used for the graveyard. Directions were issued to put up a board to avoid encroachment, the order of the government stated.
Tahsildar Mohammad Isaaq directed gram panchayat heads to take action in this regard at the earliest.
Localite Gundukallu Abdul khader who lost his legs in the accident requested the officials to provide BPL card facility owing to his physical incapability.
Taluk panchayath president Rajani distributed command letters to handicapped, widows and other beneficiaries.
Assistant Tahsildar Abdul Rahiman gave information regarding different facilities of government.
Revenue officer Somashekhar Mayya, panchayath president Sanjeevi Poojarthy, panchayat vice president Sathish Karkera, Land justice board members Mohammad Aslam, Umesh and PDO Prashanth were present.
