Mangaluru: The second JMF Court on Friday granted bail to Shriram Yadapaditthaya, who was arrested on charges of posting objectionable message on the social media against Christianity, following Sadhvi Balika Saraswathi’s address in Mangaluru recently.
The police had arrested Shriram (27), a former telecom company executive and resident of Balaji Nagar, Uttarahalli from Bengaluru on Thursday and was brought him to the city. The police booked him under section 66 of IT Act and sections 153A, 153B and 295A of IPC.
The court granted him bail on Friday and instructed him to co-operate with the police whenever necessary.
The Mangaluru South police, who are investigating the case said that the parents applied for bail through an advocate for Shriram. We will soon file a charge sheet before the court, the police said.
