It is gathered that Rayareddy’s visit was in connection to the incident of a hidden mobile phone camera being found inside the women’s toilet in Mangalore University. The officials at the University informed Rayareddy that the incident was not caused due to their negligence.

Rayareddy said that there was no lapse in security. “It is not possible to watch the toilet at all times. However, as the university has filed a case with the police, they will find the miscreants. A committee has been constituted in this regard, which will look into the issue,” he added.

Meanwhile, ABVP members submitted a memorandum to the minister. According to sources Konaje police, as the case relates to cyber crime, it will be handed over to the Cyber Crime police.
