Lions Club Mangalore – Balmatta organizes Governor’s visit

Mangalore: The Lions Club Mangalore – Balmatta organized the official visit of the District Governor – Ln KC Prabhu, under the initiation of its President Ln Denis Rodrigues on Tuesday February 11.

The Lions Club Mangalore – Balmatta started in the year 1986 and has 31 active members working for the betterment of the society. The event ‘official visit of the District Governor’ was hosted by the Charter member Ln Ganesh Bangera of Ganesh Builders who has been hosting the event from the past 28years.

The function started with the code of conducts at Lions Club delivered by Ln Anthony Machado, the general report was read by secretary Ln Thomas Castelino whereas the chief guest was introduced by Juliet Mascarenhas.

In his presidential address, District Governor, Ln KC Prabhu said, “The members of the Lions Club Mangalore – Balmatta have exceptionally worked hard towards the society wherein they have always promoted the entire association and never taken individualist approach towards the efforts rendered.”

Concluding his speech Ln KC Prabhu wished the association and stated that may god bless the association and provide them abundantly so that they will be able to reach the needy people.

Ln Jaganatha, Ln Arun Shetty and Ln Peter were felicitated during the function. The vote of thanks was given by Secretary Ln Thomas Castelino and the event concluded with a National Anthem.

On the occasion a service activity was conducted in institutes from around the locality such as, St Josephs High School, Kankanady; Ave Maria Palliative Care Centre, Vamanjoor;  Bajjodi Old Age Home etc.
