Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district youth wing president of the Janata Dal (Secular) Akshith Suvarna had received a life threat on social media recently, following which he filed a complaint with the Mangaluru City Police Commissioner to take stringent action against the culprits.
In the complaint filed by Suvarna on Thursday, March 12, he stated that a person named Ram Prasad had threatened his life on Facebook.
“As I’m a public figure serving society, involved in religious activities, having my own business and serving as the district youth wing president of the JD(S), I urge the police department to take stern action against Ram Prasad,” read the complaint.
Chief general secretary of the district youth JD(S) Madhusudan Gowda, district JD(S) vice president Mohammed Asif and others were present.
