Mangaluru: The licensed land surveyors of Dakshina Kannada district have demanded for their permanent appointment here on Thursday, April 15.

The licensed land surveyors are protesting from the past two months which is causing a problem to the farmers, common public, and workers.

Speaking at the press conference, SDPI district secretary Shahul Hamid said, instead of permanently appointing the licensed land surveyors who are working on a temporary basis from the past 17 years, the government has prepared itself to appoint 2000 new land surveyors.

“The revenue department must consider this matter seriously and take the necessary steps in this regard as early as possible,” he added.  He warned that the social democratic party will hold the protest all over the district in the upcoming days if the government failed to address this issue.

Anwar Sadat Bajattur, Jamal Jokatte, and Nassir Sajip were present on this occasion.
