Mangaluru: In a debate held on Wednesday June 15 in social media platform Clubhouse, Congress Leader Shailaja from Puttur spoke in a derogatory manner about Hindu Gods, Sita, Rama and Hanuman.

Reacting sharply to the remarks MLA Dr. Bharath Shetty Y. said that the Congress party will be perish due to the curse of Lord Rama. Rama is worshipped by crores of Hindus, the Congress should not be arrogant that no one will question if one insults the Hindu God Lord Ram or Hindu traditions. You have insulted the self-respect of the Hindus by holding this crazy debate. This is a big mistake and will one day lead to the fight for a Congress-free India, he emphasised.

Further, he said, “Your party’s anti-Hindu agenda by staging various dramas for votes when elections are approaching has been exposed. What action will you take on a woman leader from your own party, who is now unfit to be called a Hindu, as your party has always been in the forefront when there is a controversy over other religions by taking out protests in streets to condemn the same,” he questioned.
