Ullal: A case of negligence has been filed against a contractor after one of his labourers fell down from a building and lost his life on Friday, January 23.The case is registered at the Konaje police station.

The deceased is identified as Lipu Naik (24).

According to sources, on January 11, Lipu was watering a cemented wall at a property developed by Shobha Developers in Mudipu. Accidentally, he lost balance and fell upside down onto the floor. Having sustained grievous injuries he was rushed to the hospital.

However, the treatment failed. The family members of Lipu have held the contractor responsible for the death.
