Kasargod: A row of cattle smugglers was busted by the Kumble police on Sunday July 6, after they arrested two persons in connection to the theft.



A team of policemen led by police sub-inspector Jacob, acting on a tip off made the arrest. They also confiscated a car and an auto rickshaw that was being used in the crime.
The culprits have been identified as 32-year-old Nassar from Kumble Arikkad, and 40-year-old Ismail, a native of Mangalore, reportedly they also have several other cases of cattle theft against them.
The arrest was done during a night patrol when police stopped an auto rickshaw near Peruvadu petrol bunk near Kumble, and inspected the vehicle; surprisingly the auto was used to transport goats.
Reportedly, the duo confessed to having stolen these goats when the police questioned moreover they also traced down a car that was following the auto rickshaw as escort vehicle and nabbed it.
