Kasargod : Kumble police have arrested five persons of Shimoga origin on the charges of hatching a plan for a major burglary. Police have seized eight mobile phones, an iron rod, axo blade, screw driver etc from the arrested.

Those arrested are Venu, Ravi, Manju, Shiva and Ananda. The police who were on patrol near Kumble during the wee hours of Thursday August 7 saw the five lurking suspiciously and arrested them after a chase. They have admitted  that they were planning  a theft and were involved in the dacoity case reported from Mayyil in Kannur among other cases.

Police said cases were filed against them in the past in Talachery, Kozhikode and other police stations. They wee also wanted in connection with several thefts in Kumble, police informed.
